This signed undated letter arrived in my
mail box in 2002
Unless "Ink Pen" ratification of such an alleged "trip to Lyttelton"is contained
in a Nazareth House Register such being of the type that was built to last and containing the date
and by whom Dorothy (Dora) Carmine and her sister Fay were escorted then I think no such trip occurred
Former residents of Nazareth House allege
no residents went anywhere without the Nuns there recording such information and knowledge of as into whose care residents were being entrusted
I do not believe the Sisters at Nazareth House in 1941 would have seemingly been
oblivious to the fact my Orphaned mother was pregnant particularly
once it became evident her abdoman was gradually distending
This place must have been visited by Child
Welfare Officers and surely that same Departments Doctor Nazareth House
were aligned to the then Child Welfare Legislated Act and the person in
charge there shared the same responsibilities as the Superintendent of
that then Child Welfare Department had over children in State Care
I think the Sisters at Nazareth House were
as astute then as they are today
Myself with (30) thirty years experience
of working within the Health Service have
not encountered any person who was totally
oblivious to the fact that they were pregnant again particularly once their
abdoman began to show signs that it was
beginning to distend.
It is highly possible an extremely larger sized person may not portray
the external visible signs showing they were pregnant
I also seek ratification of the name of the Cousin the writer aleges that
some people thought was my father
